The media (and entertainment) industry comprises film, print, radio and television. This encompasses segments such as movies, television, radio, news, music, newspapers, magazines, and books.
These may be available in many different formats and on a range of platforms reflecting online versions of those businesses (perhaps websites, blogs and vlogs), directories, mailing lists, software publishing, and video games. An addition to traditional media types, this new media comprises on-demand content accessed via the internet through digital devices.
Maggie has spent over 17 years working in the equities markets, initially as a salesperson and research analyst at Bank of America, followed by roles at Deutsche Bank, Investec and most recently RBC. She has followed companies in a wide range of sectors, including Media, Aerospace & Defence and Industrials.
Stephen has over 35 years’ experience in equity investment research, corporate finance, business planning and investor communication. Having qualified as an accountant, Stephen spent ten years in the accountancy profession, latterly at Deloitte. He worked at Investec for seven years and has pursued a variety of roles – including business planning projects for corporates; financial management roles including as a Finance Director; and equity investment research. He has worked across a variety of sectors including Information Technology, Electronics, Media, Property, Support Services, Food and Drink, Retail, Healthcare, Financial Services, Charity and Agribusiness.
